It has been a really long time since my last updates. I’m truly sorry about that.
First of all for those of you who were wondering if I’m still alive, yes I’m safe and sound 😀
So, I got to India and I’m here for already a month and a half and I can say that I got what I wanted until now, both work and cultural experience. There are so many things that happened since I left the country and I really don’t know what I should start with. 😀
Let’s start with my departure…
On the 15th of August I left Romania for the first time in my life and for the first time by plane…I had to fly first to Dubai and then to Bangalore and between I had to wait for 13 hours. So actually I got to India after 24 hours since I left Romania. Never in my life I felt so tired. When I got to the airport AIESEC people were there waiting for me. 🙂
First cultural shock – traffic in Bangalore is something that you don’t see everyday :)) I must say that here doesn’t seem to be any rule for driving, everybody just wants to get where they need to get. And for pedestrians, crossing the street is a real adventure…
From the airport I went to my accommodation where I met a small girl who didn’t look more than 20 (she is elder than me 😉 ). Soon I was to discover that she will be my boss and that the saying “Strong essences are kept in small bottles” is true 😀 .
The next thing I had to deal with was the food. Kashmira (my boss) is a great cook and the food was amazing, but too many flavours and spices for me in a single dish to deal with for the first day. But the good thing is that I’m used with it now and I like it.
I went to the hotel the next day where I met so many people that at the end of the day I forgot most of the names :D. Never in my life I met so many smiling faces! It was like everybody accepted me on the spot (I’ll never know if that was the case or not 😀 ). After a property tour I was under the impression that the hotel was a labyrinth. If someone had asked me to go somewhere I wouldn’t be able to go to that place. All I can say is that at the end of that day I was feeling like Alice in Wonderland, lost and amazed in the same time :D.
To be continued…:D
Photos will come soon 🙂
